Thirty years of seeing the same problem in consultation, and the decision to do something about it.
Dr. Héctor Cordero is a pediatrician with more than 30 years of clinical experience treating every kind of acute and chronic skin complaint, using the full range of systemic and topical medications.
Those treatments — topical steroids among them — carried significant side effects, and too often delivered only minimal to moderate results. Year after year, families faced the same choice between harsh products and ineffective ones. Dr. Cordero grew disillusioned, and decided there had to be a better way.
His approach: when skin is stressed, it struggles to supply its own cells with enough nutrients. So he developed a special combination of nutrients, vitamins and minerals, blended into a natural, non-steroid compound — designed to support the skin’s own barrier and moisture instead of fighting it with harsh chemicals.
Today Novopiel is a family company. The cream is a rich moisturizer that delivers vitamins to nourish aging-looking skin; the body lotion carries the original formula at a gentler concentration for everyday use. Everything is manufactured in Miami, and everything is fragrance-free.
